The outline of the puzzle pattern is done! The background is begun. These are the only colors that are certain thus far, so that’s what I’m stitching.

Two Steps Forward, One Step Back: Frogging
In a perfect world, I prefer to start stitching in the middle of a pattern. It’s easy to find the center of both the fabric and the pattern, and starting here assures the design is centered on the fabric.
New Puzzle Pattern Progress

Writing Silly
With the upcoming activity book project and several needlework projects, I’ve given up trying to revise a novel I drafted in November. I’ll tackle that over the summer. Big, complicated projects, like novels, require longer writing periods and more undivided attention–for me, anyway. So I’ve turned my creative writing attention to short things.
Read and Stitch
Stitching while Mike reads aloud is one of my all-time favorite things to do. I could spend (and have spent) hours absorbed in this activity. During those hours, all is right in my world.
What kind of a reader are you?
I took a quiz that is going around on some children’s writing blogs.
