New Puzzle Pattern Progress

I got the floss for Mike’s new cross stitch puzzle design from The Gentle Art today! Yay!

I’ve started stitching the background, and with the arrival of the floss, can now finish the edge. That’s more than enough to keep me busy until Mike is available to help select other colors. In fact, there’s some question as to whether or not I can have the piece finished for the summer TNNA trade show in June. That’s what I’m shooting for.

I love having big projects to stitch, to have something always at the ready, so I can stitch for 5 minutes or 5 hours. No contemplating what or how to stitch; it’s already decided. I love watching the image gradually appear on the fabric–not unlike the old Polaroids, where you eagerly waved the square paper in the air to make the picture appear faster. Only this is even slower.
