So I’m finally stitching something besides the 996 background. We had picked 2 colors and I was off and stitching. Well, guess what. We rejected 50% of our newly-chosen colors today, and even though I’ve just barely begun to stitch, I’ve already ripped.
Puzzle Pattern Update
I figure I’m about one-third of the way through the background on Mike’s new puzzle design–almost through 2 skeins of DMC floss.

Stitching Shouldn’t Be A Pain
Long hours of stitching today. Such grueling work! Actually, there’s some truth in that. Any repetitive activity can wreak havoc on a body, and it seems that everything I do involves repetitive motion: stitching, writing and drawing at the computer.

The outline of the puzzle pattern is done! The background is begun. These are the only colors that are certain thus far, so that’s what I’m stitching.
Two Steps Forward, One Step Back: Frogging
In a perfect world, I prefer to start stitching in the middle of a pattern. It’s easy to find the center of both the fabric and the pattern, and starting here assures the design is centered on the fabric.
