Weekend Book Quotes

Bookmarks by Maureen. I love many things about these: the overdyed thread which provides beautiful color variations; the cross stitch frame around the flowers which makes the design feel complete; the fringe; the felt that’s sized larger than the fabric to act as another frame; the pinked edge; the ribbon tail so that the needlework can dangle outside the book when appropriate. Nice!

The closest we will ever come to an orderly universe is a good library. ~ Ashleigh Brilliant

To read is to empower

  1. I love these! We are all supposed to stitch bookmarks for literacy for our guild and I have shyed away because I didn’t feel I had time to do the project justice. I can now. I need to get out own of my mini motifs books. Thank you for sharing!

  2. Yay, Robin!

Bookmarks don’t have to take forever to make to be beautiful and make a child proud and happy. And finishing really can be easy and beautiful all at once.
