On September 15, 2010, Hammond Reads, Inc. held their annual Literacy Palooza. The Needle Artisans of Northwest Indiana, a chapter of the Embroiderers’ Guild of America, donated sixty-six hand-stitched bookmarks in the name of Stitching for Literacy.
