Stitching for Literacy Update

rose-bookmarkThis bookmark uses one of the finishing methods we’ll learn in the Bookmarks 101: Simple, Smart, and Swanky Finishes class beginning November 16 at The Stitchers’ Village.

The Monday “What have you done lately?” accountability post, where I announce my Needle and Thread: Stitching for Literacy program promotion goal for the week and fess up on last week’s goal.

Last week my goal was a consultation with a marketing guru. We talked Friday afternoon, and at the end of our conversation, I was recharged, excited, and optimistic. I have a better sense of direction for the necessary business of this program, and a clear assignment for this week to get started on a path that can bring the program more of what it deserves. I hope I can do the program and the guru justice.

Lots of things are bubbling and brewing on back burners, but nothing to report just now.

My goal this week is to hook up one or more of the NYC libraries that expressed interest in receiving bookmarks in the 2010 Challenge. I’ve just heard a rumor that the group I plan to contact is quite large–160 members. I hope, I hope, I hope the rumor is true! I’m really excited to e-meet this group.
