Instead of listening to an audio book or to Mike reading while I stitch, this week we’re listening to Mike’s Australia audio journal. Ten years ago, we spent six months touring the continent, circumnavigating the mainland and Tasmania. Listening to Mike’s record of it is wonderfully fun. I’m surprised by how much I recall and can visualize based on his commentary.
When we’re finished with Mike’s version, I’m going to have him read my written journal aloud. I want to see how similar or different they are.
Some random pics of Oz.
A private campground where we spent a night after fossicking for opals in outrageous heat in the outback. I’m inspecting the shower. We took more than one shower-with-a-view in Australia.
On top of Uluru in the red center.
Pickpocket practice. I’m not very good.
I can’t even go on a day hike without taking something to stitch.

I want to go there!
