Halloween Countdown at The Armchair Chef

I have been remiss in pointing out the Halloween Countdown event over at The Armchair Chef. For several years now, Tink has been collecting and publishing recipes from members of the needlework community, designers and shop owners in quilting, embroidery, knitting, etc.

It’s great fun, as each post includes not only a recipe but a reminiscence from Halloween’s past. Even if I don’t like the sound of a recipe (I’m uber-picky about what I eat, but you already know that), I read the stories remembering when….

My submission isn’t up yet, and I’ll tell you when it is, but I’m salivating over the Dental Damnation Caramels recipe from Blue Moon River. I have all the ingredients and a candy thermometer. I may really have to try these.

PS – I figured out how to import this blog over on the Funk & Weber page at Facebook, but right now it only lists titles on the main page and blurbs on another. I’m not sure if I can have the posts display in their entirety over there. We’ll see. Baby steps.

You might want to give me a few more days before signing on as my Facebook Friend. I accidentally invited three Friends to play a game of Scramble and contacted a total stranger who is a Friend of a Friend. Ay-yi-yi. I’m one of those people who learn by doing. Sorry pal.

And thanks, Beck, for being the first Funk & Weber fan. I think there’s a prize for that, or there should be.

  1. I checked out the Blue Moon website and fell head over heels for the quilts. If only I had a couple thousand dollars to spare….

  2. I know, I know. Seeing the Blue Moon site and your site is supposed to inspire me to wax creative and break out my needle and thread. But, knowing that’s not going to happen in the near future, I merely envision my ship coming in and the ability to purchase these pieces of beauty at whim.
