Working

cbw1.jpg
I was up at 5:30 this morning, and it’s 9:30 now. Except for a shower, a walk to the mailbox, an exercise video, and an occasional bite of food, I’ve been working on one of my TNNA classes: stitching, finishing, taking notes, making lists. I really should take a picture of my disaster…er, work area, but I can’t bring myself to do it.

I listen to an audio book as I work–it’s Children’s Book Week, you know. Tomorrow ends my 2 weeks with one particular book that I currently have signed out. I’ve become obsessed with it. It’s something like 13 hours of listening, and I’ve listened to it all the way through 6 times. I’ll listen to it again tomorrow because tomorrow will be exactly like today, and then the story will digitally disintegrate, disappearing from my computer, releasing me from this particular obsession. I expect a period of withdrawal on Friday.

I am happy as a gopher in soft dirt. The class is great, the projects are great, the story is great, the work is great, and, of course, the mess is great. I love being totally immersed, hyper-focused on one project.

  1. You must be immersed. We have not heard a peep from you in a while! Although, the snow has flown too. So the winter hibernating sets in. 😉
