Among other things, I am now on the lookout for The Perfect Book to make into a purse. On one hand, it has to be a book I’m willing to dis- and re-assemble. On another hand, it has to be interesting enough to make me want to muck with it and then carry it about. On a borrowed hand, it has to be an appropriate size, although now that I think about it, I can give this hand back because I can see purses of myriad sizes being interesting.

Lupines. We’ve got a ton. For four years I’ve been gathering then scattering lupine seeds. I’ll do it again this year. There are still places I want them to grow.
