Wheeeee! It’s opening day for NaNoWriMo. I haven’t started yet, but I will this evening. That’s not the site we’re seeing today, though.
A few months ago, I discussed in The Needlework Nutshell (subscription box in the sidebar) the idea and process of altering text on a piece of needlework. Adding names and relevant phrases or sayings is a great way to personalize embroidery.
However, designing cross stitch text, or more specifically a font, can be a challenge. Enter books and patterns with complete alphabets. Or, alternatively, this tool on the StitchPoint site.
I happen to enjoy designing alphabets, but it’s time consuming, and it’s already been done very well by others. Heads up on copyright issues if you want to sell what you design.
