Another bookmark from the Redwood Stitchers EGA chapter in Santa Rosa, CA.
The Monday “What have you done lately?” accountability post, where I announce my Needle and Thread: Stitching for Literacy program promotion goal for the week and fess up on last week’s goal.
Last week, my goal was to begin rounding up volunteers willing to organize Outreach programs in their communities, from teaching one-on-one to one-day Make-It-Take-It events to demonstrations to multi-week after school or camp programs.
Done. I have indeed begun, but I’m by no means finished. To date, we have commitments from Karen, Becca, Maureen, and Mare.
We are on our way!
If you’d like to be more involved in planning Needle and Thread: Stitching for Literacy events and working behind-the-scenes, please join our Yahoo Group.
The group allows participants to share ideas and resources, and we’d love to have your help.
It’s summer in Alaska, which means time for friends and family to visit. For the next two weeks, my first goal is to enjoy the company of our just-graduated Favorite Niece. I’ll be back Stitching for Literacy on July 12.
In the meantime, I’ll be taking pics while we’re out and about with the Favorite Niece, and my second goal is to share some of them here.
