Stitching for Literacy Update

gayle-sailboatFrom the Accents, Inc. 2009 Bookmark Challenge collection.

The Monday “What have you done lately?” accountability post, where I announce my Needle and Thread: Stitching for Literacy program promotion goal for the week and fess up on last week’s goal.

Last week, my goal was to finish the pattern layout for our first Stitch N’ Pitch bookmark.

Yippee! I did it.

I think I labor excessively over layouts. Seriously, I kind of dread them, I put them off, and they take me forEVer. Once I force myself to start working on one, I generally like the process; I lose track of time and enjoy working, working, working to make everything fit and look nice.

Anywho, aside from proofing another hundred or so times, I’ve got the layout done. Just in time for the off-season! My timing is always impeccable, isn’t it?

This week, my goal is to pitch another bookmark pattern to another magazine to further spread word of the Challenge. Still no word on the first one I submitted.
