Silly game? Of course I’ll play. But for the record, I wish people who started these things would put a little more effort into it. “Six random things,” “Eight random things,” “Twelve random things”… Maybe we could try changing more than just the first word? Hmm?
Seriously. Random things? Aren’t most blog posts random things?
I was tagged by Kat over the weekend. Here are the tag rules:
Rule #1 ~ Link to the person that tagged you.
Rule #2 ~ Post the rules on your Blog.
Rule #3 ~ Write 6 random things about yourself.
Rule #4 ~ Tag 6 people at the end of your post.
Rule #5 ~ Let each person know that they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their Blog.
Rule #6 ~ Let the tagger know your entry is up.
1. My knitted felted slippers already have holes in the soles. I’m ordering leather bottoms (soon) for the next pair.
2. I’m afraid of bees.
3. Mike and I independently but almost simultaneously discovered and fell in love with Flight of the Conchords. I found them after watching Eagle VS Shark courtesy of Netflix. Mike found them through YouTube videos while working at the lodge. We just watched the first six episodes of the HBO series on DVD. Twice. You can add that DVD to my Holiday Wish List–I want to be the Rhymenocerous!
5. I visit dictionary.com pretty much daily.
6.
I am tagging:
AND
Shelly
Becca
Beck
I expect you three to play here in the comments (skip the rules that don’t apply). Beck, if you want to do it on your blog, say the word, and I’ll link there.
And, of course, if any of you don’t want to play…okay.

I’ll do it here since the blog is really Jillian’s (unless you want 6 random things about her – ha).
1) Texture is as important, if not more, in food for me. (Remember the tofu pudding? ick)
2) It took me a while after moving to AK to pronounce creek as creek and not crick.
3) I wanted to spell my name “Rebeckah” when I was in school.
4) I cannot, nor do I like, to swim, but I am in a class now to teach Jillian. It terrifies me. (I think the instructor senses it, but I have not told her.)
5) I have a Facebook and Twitter account, but I don’t really understand them much.
6) I have always wanted to join the PeaceCorps or Drs Without Borders or something of the sort.
OK, so there it is. I’m sure you knew most of these though.
I’m being inspired by shared random things.
1. I’m scared of bees, too. I was seriously allergic when I was younger. Just the sound gets my adrenaline going.
2. Me too, Beck. But I wanted Rebekkah.
3. Kat (she who tagged Jen), has probably already figured this one out. Like her, I am also a sci-fi and fantasy fanatic. I seriously love dragons.
4. My Chinese zodiac sign is Dragon. For reals.
5. My first venture in “writing” was dictating a story to my mother when I was five.
6. I love things Celtic. Music, designs, knotwork, Scottish guys in kilts…
NOW. Because she isn’t blowing her own horn, I’m announcing that Jen Funk Weber has knocked down 50,000 words on NaNoWriMo with four days to spare. She is amazing! Woot, woot.
1. I don’t like crispy or crunchy cereal. I pour the milk into the cereal, and then let it sit for at least ten minutes to get good and soggy. Yum.
2. I, too, am into dictionaries, using http://www.thefreedictionary.com throughout the day. But whenever the kids ask me what a word means, I have them get the hardbound dictionary, look up the word, and read it aloud.
3. For as long as I can remember, I had the magic number 4 in my head as the number of children I *needed* to have in order to feel I was complete and full in my life. As though I was meant to have 4 children.
4. I enjoy slightly organized chaos.
5. Right now I’m having a contest with myself, allowing the toenail on my right big toe to grow as long as I can stand it. Only then will I trim it. Just for fun.
6. I have evolved from a perfectionistic control freak to a pretty-darned laid-back chick.
