We need to choose a book to read now and discuss in January. I’m going to present three titles, and you all can vote, either in the comments or in an email (mail AT funkandweber DOT com–our address is in the sidebar, you know). If you don’t vote, I’ll just pick one. I’ve never read any of them, but they’ve all been recommended.
Okay. Vote.

I’ve read The Poisonwood Bible, so I’m not overly interested in that one, personally (although I do enjoy Kingsolver’s style).
The Life of Pi…I’ve heard very good things about it and I’m interested in reading it. Thumbs up.
Bel Canto. I’ve read other Patchett novels and enjoyed them. The premise of this one does not inspire me to jump right in, but the title does. For the simple reason that my daughter’s children’s choir is named the Bel Cantos, I’m happily giving this one a thumbs up, as well.
I’ll vote for Bel Cantos
I am one of the S4L Book Club Lurkers, so I read what you decide 😉 And perhaps I can put my comments this time… not just practicing my English by reading your discussions and answering in my thoughts 😉
