We finished Little Dorrit as expected. Definitely not one of my faves, but still head and shoulders above some other literature.
Naturally, when I went to the library earlier this week, I didn’t limit myself to the Spiderwick books, though I did limit myself to the children’s section.
With the upcoming activity book project and several needlework projects, I’ve given up trying to revise a novel I drafted in November. I’ll tackle that over the summer. Big, complicated projects, like novels, require longer writing periods and more undivided attention–for me, anyway. So I’ve turned my creative writing attention to short things.
Stitching while Mike reads aloud is one of my all-time favorite things to do. I could spend (and have spent) hours absorbed in this activity. During those hours, all is right in my world.
