Perseid Meteor Shower

At 10:15 p.m. last night the sun was setting as we left Anchorage, it was 67-degrees, and the sky was clear. It was dark by the time we got home. We pulled the mattress off the pull-out couch and piled on blankets and pillows. We slept out on the deck so that we could watch the Perseid meteor shower. We were too tired to watch as long as we would have liked, but we saw a good number of meteors, and it was good fun sleeping out–not to mention rather luxurious as sleeping out goes…
