Lazy Girl, Joan Hawley, has announced a Blog Hop featuring 12 projects from 12 quilt designers, using fabrics from the new DayZ Deux collection from LakeHouse Dry Goods.
What’s this? You say your what hurts? Um, no. It’s like this: Every day from March 5-16, 2007, Joan will reveal a new quilt design on her blog. The designs have been created by 12 different designers, Joan being one of them. All the designs use fabrics from a new collection called “DayZ Deux” from LakeHouse Dry Goods. Not only do we get to see the designs, but we get the behind-the-scenes scoop on how they came to be.
I’m all over this! For starters, I may design embroidery, but I love all things string, including sewing, piecing, and quilting, and I’m already a fan of Lazy Girl Designs. Another reason: Did you check out the colors of the fabric?! Do you suppose I can coordinate it with an embroidery project? Yeah-huh. And then there’s the whole blog tour, blog hop, we-of-similar-interests-are-all-connected aspect. I just think that’s cool. What do you say to an embroidery blog-a-palooza sometime in the future? The possibilities are exciting, if a bit overwhelming.
So, want to come with me? On March 5th, head over to the Lazy Girl blog and check out the first DayZ Dozen design. Then meet me back here to reflect, discuss, brainstorm. Sound like fun? I think so!
