If you haven’t solved the Alaska Book Week puzzles, well . . . why not?
Today, I’ll introduce you to another of our AK kidlit stars. Er . . . I guess teenlit is more appropriate. Do we say “teenlit”?
Name: Lynn LovegreenLocation: Southcentral Alaska

You’re making a float based on one of your books for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. What do you do? Hire someone who knows that they’re doing, and make a huge gold nugget, since gold is in each of my books.
The main character for your next book is a dessert. Yes, the yummy after-dinner thing. What dessert is it? Chocolate chip cookies–sweet and old-fashioned 🙂
What’s an Alaska person or place or situation or theme you’d like to write and/or illustrate a book about? World War II in Alaska—many people don’t realize all the things that happened here at that time.
A celebrity falls in love with your book and sings its praises on a tv show, thus making you rich, famous, beautiful, smart, physically fit, etc. Who is this celebrity and what is the show? Oprah, because she loves books. Although she doesn’t usually showcase YA, I’ll be the exception. 🙂
What Alaska wildflower represents your work in progress? The forget-me-not, because it’s sturdy, blossoming in unexpected places.
