How’s your effort coming for the Alaska Book Week puzzle contest, eh? Need some more time? All right, let me introduce you to another of our AK kidlit stars.
Name: Cherie B. StihlerLocation: Fairbanks (when we are not at Disneyland), but we LOVE to travel all around the Great Land.
Home on the Web: www.cheriestihler.com
You’re making a float based on one of your books for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. What do you do? For a float: A giant cabbage surrounded by the animal friends: Moose, bear, wolf, fox, hare, old porcupine, and little vole.
But I would much prefer a Macy balloon of Moose in his denim overalls and red high-tops.
The main character for your next book is a dessert. Yes, the yummy after-dinner thing. What dessert is it? Chocolate MOOSE, of course. 🙂
What’s an Alaska person or place or situation or theme you’d like to write and/or illustrate a book about? It was an idea that I had, but it was already done (alas, badly).
A celebrity falls in love with your book and sings its praises on a tv show, thus making you rich, famous, beautiful, smart, physically fit, etc. Who is this celebrity and what is the show? I don’t watch television so I am not sure what you are looking for here.
What Alaska wildflower represents your work in progress? Fireweed
