The Monday “What have you done lately?” accountability post, where I announce my Needle and Thread: Stitching for Literacy program promotion goal for the week and fess up on last week’s goal.
Last week, my goals were to prepare a plan for an event at the local school and roll out a contest to introduce our new Stitching for Literacy blogger. I failed on the first, succeeded on the second.
Bookmarks stitched by the Starlight Stitchers EGA chapter in AZ and donated to an ESL class.
This week, now that the new Funk & Weber site is up, I want to start the overhaul here. I confess I’m having a hard time kicking my brain back to Square One, but I’ll try kicking a bit harder. I’ll also work on the local program.
I’ve asked past participants to let me know if they plan to participate again. You can help me out by asking your local shop owner, guild chapter, or stitching group if they will participate (i.e., make arrangements with a school or library, and then collect bookmarks for donation) and letting me know. Also, if you have something planned, I want to hear about it! Remember, it takes just one. You, my friends, can make a difference, all by yourselves.
All right, let’s hear it. What do you want to accomplish this week?
