Bookmarks collected by The Stitchers’ Village for the 2010 Bookmark Challenge.
The inquiries have started, so I updated the home page here with dates for the Needle and Thread: Stitching for Literacy 2011 Bookmark Challenge.
We will officially collect bookmarks from March 17 – April 28 and deliver them to libraries and schools for Children’s Book Week, May 2 – 8.
Of course, some libraries and schools don’t celebrate Children’s Book Week, so some groups will collect at different times for different events. I’ll post events and collection times on the Participants page as the information comes in.
I can tell you this much: The Stitchers’ Village is already collecting!
I’m often asked how people can help. I haven’t been very good about delegating or making use of these generous offers, I’m afraid, but I aim to change that beginning now. I’m looking for a volunteer to help with shop registrations. If you are interested and can send e-mails (I’ll provide sample text), you’re qualified. Drop me a line at mail [AT] funkandweber [DOT] com. (Our email is in the sidebar, you know.) I’d love to have your help!
