Jon Bon Jovi was scheduled to perform a benefit concert at BookExpo America in NYC the first weekend in June (which happens to be the same weekend as the TNNA NeedleArts Market, so I was not planning to attend BEA, though I would love to someday, with or without a Bon Jovi performance). Today we learned that his performance has been canceled. Simultaneously, we learned that his book BELIEVE has been postponed. (I don’t know, but I’m guessing the former has something to do with the latter.)
What do you know–Jon Bon Jovi and I are in the same boat! I recently learned that BEEN THERE, DONE THAT, originally due out in March 2007 (last month–how cool would that have been?!), then postponed until March 2008, has now been postponed until March 2009. Sigh. I sold it in January 2005.
I expect Jon to call and commiserate sometime this week.

My first book, The Pig and Miss Prudence, was orginally due out in Spring ’06 but got pushed back to Fall ’06, then Summer ’07, and *guess what?* The book has been on stand-by for 2 months now–no progress made at all, sooo…. Who still thinks it’ll be out this summer? No one has told me it won’t be, so my fingers are crossed. But we’ll see. Oh yeah, and mine sold in November 2004.
Maybe Jon will contact you both! I admire your tenacity and am sorry for the disappointments. But they did sell!
