We will be sharing the holiday with lots of friends, eating great food, playing games–my favorite kind of Thanksgiving.
Did you know that Thomas Jefferson (make that Ben Franklin as per Becca’s comment) wanted the turkey (wild, I presume) to be our national bird, not the bald eagle?
If he had gotten his way, would we be eating this for dinner instead?

We played Trivial Pursuit over the weekend and my team named Thomas Jefferson for some question (about banking) when the answer was Ben Franklin.
