It’s the week we’ve been stitching for: Children’s Book Week.
Official events are planned all over the country. Check with your local schools and libraries to see what they might have planned. And if, like me, you live far away from such celebrations, plan your own DIY celebration. I’m celebrating this week by designating an hour every day to just read. Not a before-bed hour, not a give-up-sleep-to-get-up-early hour, but a smack-dab-middle-of-the-day just-for-fun hour. Today, I spent that hour reading on the warm, sunny deck.
What are you doing to celebrate Children’s Book Week?

Actually, I’ve been stitching. Just not bookmarks. I have been reading Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. The final volume was included in the BoB and pushed me over the edge to reading them. So I am making my Children’s Book Week goal to finish the third book.
