Kerameikos turned out to be one of my favorite sites in Athens. Here we can see remnants of the ancient city walls, two gates, and many tombs.

Next in our Athens tour, we visited the Agora and Hadrian’s Library. We also enjoyed our first Greek fast food: pork, beef, and mushroom souvlaki.
Exploring the Acropolis just as it opens provides great views and unobstructed photos of the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion, and the Parthenon.
