Oh, yes, there’s still time to enter the Alaska Book Week puzzle contest!
What do you say we pose those five quick questions to another Alaska author?

You’re making a float based on one of your books for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. What do you do? I would have the float be a whole playground covered in snow and be 20 degrees below zero. I would have kids bundled up and playing on the playground! I would probably be with the kids on the sledding hill!
That’s the kind of thing that gets you a Teacher-of-the-Year award!
The main character for your next book is a dessert. Yes, the yummy after-dinner thing. What dessert is it? A snow-cone of course!
What’s an Alaska person or place or situation or theme you’d like to write and/or illustrate a book about? Denali National Park
A celebrity falls in love with your book and sings its praises on a tv show, thus making you rich, famous, beautiful, smart, physically fit, etc. Who is this celebrity and what is the show? Ooolala! So lucky!!! I think it would be Oprah, and it would be on her network.
What Alaska wildflower represents your work in progress? A Pasque flower represents my work in progress. It struggles to push through the snow to be the first flower of the season. Aaahhh, success! I can relate to this because I struggle to finalize a story in my mind before putting it to paper. Then I continue to struggle through rewriting. Until finally, yea, I get it right! Then I bloom!
