Becca asks what the current status is of a 2010 Stitch-N-Safari.
Answer: Not happening.
Mike and I are ready, and we could still make it happen if we can get enough people committed! That’s the tricky part, see. Many people have expressed interest, but picking a year–let alone a month and week–and an itinerary that works for everyone has proven difficult.
Let’s head over to Alaska Wildland Adventures for some Weekend Site Seeing. This is our trip planner.
My favorite trip, of course, is the 11 Day Grand Journey. This is very like the trips I led in the early 1990s when I worked as a guide for the company. It takes us to wonderful places on the Kenai Peninsula, including the new Kenai Fjords Glacier Lodge where we are Right Now, and also deep into Denali National Park where Mike and I worked for several seasons and served as caretakers for two winters. This is an amazing trip!
Alternatively, we could do a Kenai Wilderness Sampler tour and add on a trip out here to Kenai Fjords Glacier Lodge.
So what do you say? Can you come to Alaska in summer 2010? Mike and I would love to be your guides. We’ll see Alaska by day and stitch by night in cozy lodges while someone else prepares dinner and does the dishes.

I am willing. My summer schedule is flexible in June and July.
