I don’t cotton to silly quizzes. Most of the time. But it’s Friday night, and it’s been a rough week, so here I am, reading blogs. Fuse #8 and Bloomabilities both pointed out this quiz, and the result is a poem. Now that’s something worth getting, right?

So I took the quiz, not expecting to post the result since that would mean admitting that I took it. Except it fits me surprisingly–no, astonishingly well.

Short, terse, unfriendly,
Yet sometimes quite emotive;
I am the Haiku.

What Poetry Form Are You?

Don’t take offense at “unfriendly.” There’s truth in it. “Unfriendly” means “not disposed to friendship.” I don’t take that to mean I’m unkind or rude. I’m neither of those. Well, not usually. But I am disposed to solitude and near-solitude, rarely seeking interactions with friends. I have some of the greatest friends in the world, too. Wonderful people. I love them. I just like spending time alone.

Short, terse, unfriendly, sometimes emotive (Mike may argue about the “sometimes,” but I interpret it as sometimes semi-publicly emotive, and these are all about interpretation, right?). Oh–and the color! They all fit me. I wonder how many of the other poems do, too. I may actually go read them and see.

If you do it, I want to know what kind of poem you are.
