Stitching for Literacy Update
The Monday “What have you done lately?” accountability post, where I announce my Needle and Thread: Stitching for Literacy program promotion goal for the week and fess up on last week’s goal.
I know. We haven’t wrapped up the 2009 Challenge yet (still waiting for bookmark numbers from several participants), but it’s time to start planning for 2010.
You know how I’ve accepted the Bookmark Ducharme Challenge to design a bookmark every month beginning here in May. Well, I now have it in my head to pitch these bookmark designs to needlework magazines in an effort to get the word out about the Needle and Thread: Stitching for Literacy program and Bookmark Challenge. I’d like to have bookmarks in as many needlework magazines as possible between January and March 2010. That means I need to get busy.
So this week’s goal is to pitch at least one bookmark idea to a magazine.
Any preferences as to which magazine–Cross-Stitch and Needlework, Just Cross Stitch, Piecework,A Needle Pulling Thread, Today’s Creative HomeArts, EGA’s NeedleArts, Craft?
Other suggestions?

I think Craft is defunct. They’ve stopped publishing a paper copy, but I think you should pitch to their website.
I would go with whichever has the highest subscription rate.

Highest subscription rate…smart. Thanks, Anna!
Hats off to all you smart readers, by the way. I appreciate you.
