Be-oo-tiful day here! We got a couple of inches of new snow overnight, so we awoke to freshly flocked trees. A few clouds clung to the mountains to make the long slow sunrise pink and interesting, but the rest of the sky was clear. Very Christmas-y.

We’re going to juxtapose this cheery goody-two-shoes scenery with a touch of humorous grinchiness.

A couple of years ago, while listening to a familiar holiday song, Mike imagined he heard the artist sing two words differently. He generously shared what he imagined, and ever since, I cannot get these imagined words out of my head. He totally ruined the song for me!

Since it is the season to give, I thought I’d share these new lyrics with you and ruin the song for you, too. Read on at your own risk.

The song is Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.

The correct lyrics are: Here we are as in olden days, happy golden days of yore…

Replace “of yore” with “up yours.”

Happy Holidays!
