Excuses, Excuses
Why have things been quiet around here–again? Well, I’ll tell you.

High seas foiled plans to visit Kenai Fjords Glacier Lodge, but we managed to get out for a few hours one day so Bob and Thea could see the project that occupied two of their sons for the past year.
See the reflection in the lodge windows?

We had time for a tour of the lodge facilities and the lagoon.

We used the 15-person lodge canoe so we could all paddle. Notice the black thing to the right of my head and above Thea’s?

It’s a black bear. We happened upon two of them cruising along the shore.

We also did a little fishing–and crosswording–on the Kenai River.

That’s a silver salmon, or coho. We brought home thirteen and left a bunch there.
