Out again…
I have tons to share, but no time to share it. Sigh. I’m heading out again–in moments, literally–and will have limited internet access. I need to face it: Things are nuts (in a good way) between now and mid-February, and this blog will be quiet from time to time.
That’s the way it goes with self-employment [...]Becca Wins!
Becca’s comment here, earns her a prize pattern for this contest.
Way to go, Becca! Please send your mailing address to my email address–jen at funkandweber dot com–and I’ll get your prize in the mail.
I didn’t think anyone was going to win that one. I’m happy to be wrong.Great Find Not At The Show!
Right across from the Long Beach Convention Center is a Borders bookstore. On Thursday, we had a few hours between setting up the Funk & Weber Designs booth and the Galleria event which I was to attend, so Mike, Barb (sister-in-law and booth decorator), and I walked along the beach and around town. You [...]
National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature
First, how fant-abulous is it that the Library of Congress has created this position?! According to this article in the NY Times, it’s a position akin to that of poet laureate. Woo-hoo!
And who is the first-ever National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature? Mr. Jon Scieszka. Applause, applause.
Jon Scieszka is one of my top-shelf [...]Whoosh!
Yikes! Is it too late to say “Happy New Year”? What does it mean that I’m Happy-New-Year-ing a week late?
I’m putting the finishing touches on TNNA preparations. Or, time is running out so I’m packing up what is prepared. Same thing.
It’s customary to reflect on the past year and to set some goals for [...]
