Rising Temp vs Falling Temp
I marvel at this every year. Twice every year, actually: in the fall and in the spring. When the temp rises to 32-degrees-Fahrenheit, it feels warm; when the temp falls to 32-degrees-Fahrenheit, it feels cold.
Puzzle Pattern Progress
So I’m finally stitching something besides the 996 background. We had picked 2 colors and I was off and stitching. Well, guess what. We rejected 50% of our newly-chosen colors today, and even though I’ve just barely begun to stitch, I’ve already ripped.
Puzzle Pattern Update
I figure I’m about one-third of the way through the background on Mike’s new puzzle design–almost through 2 skeins of DMC floss.
The Wild Life
The snow started falling in December and keeps falling and falling and falling. We don’t have the tons that our friends in Girdwood have, but we’ve got around 3 feet, I’d guess.
Stitching and Writing
Stitching and reading…yeah, yeah, we do that all the time. Today, however, it was stitching and writing.
More Baking!
Remember the Holiday Bake-Along over at The Armchair Chef? Well, Tink’s at it again. She’s putting together a collection of pie and cake recipes from needlework designers and retailers.

Stitching, and Stitching, and…
The outline of the puzzle pattern is done! The background is begun. These are the only colors that are certain thus far, so that’s what I’m stitching.
Two Steps Forward, One Step Back: Frogging
In a perfect world, I prefer to start stitching in the middle of a pattern. It’s easy to find the center of both the fabric and the pattern, and starting here assures the design is centered on the fabric.
New Puzzle Pattern Progress
I got the floss for Mike’s new puzzle design from The Gentle Art today!
